Coloured Raine Safari Raine Eyeshadow Palette (Swatches)

Coloured Raine’s Safari Raine launched in Spring 2019. It was the company’s first 9-pan palette. The color story was inspired by the owner Loraine Dowdy’s obsession with wildlife.

Coloured Raine Safari Raine

Safari Raine contains the following shades:

  • Toucan – A luxe gold foil.
  • Clay – A warm brown matte.
  • Tigress – A burnished copper foil.
  • Congo Basin – A cool olive matte.
  • Green Valley – A glistening olive shimmer.
  • Jungle – A deep teal matte.
  • Lioness – A golden brown foil.
  • Amazon Basin – A lustrous metallic brown.
  • Matriarch – A cool cocoa matte.

All swatches shown were on top of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion; matte shadows were swatched with a Sonia G Worker One Brush and metallic shadows with a finger. Congo Basin is the only shadow that took some building to get an accurate color swatch. The metallic shades are more reflective than they appear in the swatch photo.

Matriarch is the only shadow with carmine in the ingredients list. I’ve used this palette a couple times and don’t recall ever having a reaction to it.

There was a limited and final restock of Safari Raine on Juneteenth on the Coloured Raine site. However, the palette sold out within 24 hours. Some of the shadows are still currently available as singles.
