Kaleidos Futurism III: Astro-Pink (Swatches)

A few months ago, I picked up the VR Neon and Astro Pink palettes from Kaleidos Makeup. Although, I haven’t had the opportunity to wear them yet, I’m highly impressed by the swatches. I took them out recently because I’ve become more sensitive to shadows containing carmine, and Kaleidos is one of the few brands that does not use carmine – at least not in any of the currently available palettes.

Kaleidos Astro Pink

Astro-Pink contains the following shades:

Cosmos: A deep-space black matte, drizzled with twinkling silver glitter.

Neptune: A rich aqua-blue duochrome swirling with an ultraviolet glow.

Nebula: A berry fuchsia matte from a galaxy far, far away.

Lightyear: A cosmic beam of brilliant metallic lavender.

Stardust: A dusty rose matte with a cool stellar glow.

Lunar: A peachy moonrise pastel matte.

The colours are truly as vibrant as they seem, and the metallics are high-shine! The pictures do them no justice. I’d even compare the metallics to Pat McGrath and Coloured Raine, which are two of my favourite brands for this type of eyeshadow. Just like the VR Neon palette, the matte shadows in Astro-Pink are soft  so you just need to tap the brush in lightly. The metallics are better swatched with a finger, while a brush provides a more sheer application. The metallic formula is different from the VR Neon palette; the ones in Astro-Pink are firmer and have a finer shimmer

All swatches shown were on top of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Matte shadows were swatched with Sonia G Worker One Brush, and metallic shades with a finger.

Kaleidos palettes are exclusively available on the company’s site.
