Kaleidos Futurism IV: VR Neon (Swatches)

A few months ago, I picked up the VR Neon and Astro Pink palettes from Kaleidos Makeup. Although, I haven’t had the opportunity to wear them yet, I’m highly impressed by the swatches. I took them out recently because I’ve become more sensitive to shadows containing carmine, and Kaleidos is one of the few brands that does not use carmine – at least not in any of the currently available palettes.

VR Neon contains the following shades:

Hologram: An electric orange sparkling duo-chrome with finely pixelated golden iridescence.

Easter Egg: A rich magenta sparkling duo-chrome with a dash of violet iridescence hidden inside.

Game Over: A drop dead gorgeous vermilion red matte.

Boss: An undefeatable neon orange matte that packs a fruity punch.

Level Up: A citrus yellow matte to boost your neon game.

Glitch: A startlingly crisp lime green matte.

The colours are truly as vibrant as they seem, and the metallics are high-shine! The pictures do them no justice. I’d even compare the metallics to Pat McGrath and Coloured Raine, which are two of my favourite brands for this type of eyeshadow. The VR Neon shadows are very soft so there’s a bit of excess powder in the pan if you press too firmly with a brush. The metallics are better swatched with a finger, while a brush provides a more sheer application.

All swatches shown were on top of Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Matte shadows were swatched with Sonia G Worker One Brush. I can’t comment on the longevity yet, but I should have some free time soon to really test these out. Can’t wait!

Kaleidos palettes are exclusively available on the company’s site.
