Happy Juneteenth! Over the past couple weeks, I’ve spent the bulk of my free time migrating and updating the blog, with the hopes of giving it a fresher, cleaner, more modern look. I’ve been saying I wanted to do it for years, and I finally got the push I needed. It’s even more gratifying, albeit stressful in the moment, knowing I did it myself.
I’m no expert, so there will definitely be tweaks along the way. All of the photos have been updated, even my oldest posts from almost a decade ago!
There are some new features, including the categories in the menu bar, which now features Black-Owned Brands. All posts with the main content attributed to a Black-owned business or brand can be easily found there.
Makeup is a new category as well. I’ll be posting more reviews and swatches, making good use of my oversized collection.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll notice my love of travel and landscape photography over the past couple years. I’ll be featuring more of that content on the blog moving forward.
Going through this update has actually refreshed my interest in blogging, which has certainly ebbed and flowed over the years.
