Use up the Stash: Update #12 (Mini Reviews Included)

This is going to be my end of the year edition of "Use up the Stash." I recently moved and in the process wanted to get rid of my nearly empty and unused products. Why carry excess baggage if you don't need to right? I've cut back a lot on hair products and rarely buy them. A couple days ago, I received some gels I bought months ago but were with my sister until I could retrieve them. I'll share those later as I use and review them.

Here's a list of products I've used up including mini reviews and/or links to full reviews:

III Sisters of Nature Natural Curling Gelo:
The only thing I like about this product is the fragrance. It reminds me of candy or Sprite Remix (if anyone else remembers those delights). That was the only plus for me. Every time I used it, it created a mess in my hair. It's too light to hold my hair on its own, but the Gelo cannot be layered with any other product! Whenever I tried to layer this with my leave-in and oil, it would turn white. I made the mistake of attempting to add another gel on top of the Gelo when I noticed it wasn't providing enough hold. It created this glue-like substance in my hair; I'm talking white balls everywhere! My hair was matted! It was a disaster. Even when I shampooed my hair, the white balls just would not go away. I tried combing them out, brushing them, and nothing worked. I had to disguise and hide that mess under a hat. It took multiple clarifying washes to remove. This product is the reason I test my stylers before applying them to my hair. I will not be a victim again! Someone with a looser pattern might be able to use this on its own. It's a shame this didn't work because I really loved the fragrance. I did discover it works on its own, but it still doesn't give me the hold that I need.

ApHogee Curlific! Texture Treatment:
Check out my first impressions here and my full review here.

Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco Conditioner:
I didn't really care for these and had to work to use it up. I used it when I needed a quick protein treatment.

Curl Junkie BeautiCurls Argan & Olive Oil Daily Hair Conditioner: I still think this is a wonderful conditioner and leave-in. The only con is the price.

Curl Junkie Daily Fix Cleansing Conditioner:
Check out my review here.

Curl Junkie Pattern Pusha:
I revisited this product this year and still my opinion is the same. Flake city, no ma'am, no thank you! No matter what I did with this gel, I always got flakes. In conjunction with certain leave-ins there'd be less flakes, but always, always the flakes would be there.

Curls Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Jelly: Check out my first impressions here and full review here. I bought 2 more of these during their sale earlier this year. I think they'd reduced them to $15. I love this stuff!

Karen's Body Beautiful Pomegranate Guava Sweet Ambrosia Leave-In Conditioner:
I've noted before the difference in consistency between bottles. This bottle was ok, and worked well for me as a light leave-in.

Kinky-Curly Curling Custard: Check out my informal review here.

Naturalee Hair Care Mango Vanilla Hair Butter: I hadn't used this in quite a while and the product is years old. It was time to get rid of it.

Oyin Handmade Hair Dew: Love this product. Check out my review here.

Qhemet Biologics Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee: I used to love this a couple years ago, but it had been sitting in my stash unused and for months. Time to go. The QB IG page had given me a link to a UK retailer so I might revisit their products in the future now that I know I can get them easily.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter:
This does wonders for my skin. I use it when I get out of the shower (prior to drying off). One of the large containers lasts me about 2-3 months.

S-Curl Curl & Wave Activator Gel Lite:
I got this to layer under Eco Styler and Wetline gels, but I couldn't get past the smell. I only used it once!

Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Hold and Shine Moisture Mist:
This is an old favourite from when I first big chopped and I still use it to this day.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Finishing Elixir:
Love this; it has great slip and a nice fragrance. I use it for wash and go's and for refreshing my hair.

Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Treatment Masque:
This was just ok for me. I won't be repurchasing because I couldn't get past the Play-Doh smell.

Tigi Moisture Maniac Conditioner:
This was my favourite conditioner. I'm sad to have finished my last bottle. It's the best I've ever used, but unfortunately, it was discontinued a few years ago. I'll probably use Tresemme Naturals or Herbal Essences conditioners now.
