Use up the Stash: Update #9 (Mini Reviews Included)

I haven't finished many products in the past couple months, but I haven't bought many either. Lately, I'm not interested in new hair products. I've just been trying to finish what I have in my stash. Below are mini reviews for the products I've finished or had to throw out.

Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Penetrating Hair Treatment:

Elasta QP Glaze: This worked for me when I was relaxed, but now that I'm natural, it only made my edges look greasy. It's too soft to have any hold.

Karen's Body Beautiful Hair Blossom Moisture Mist:
This is an ok product. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. The mist is inconsistent and the droplets are thick. I prefer a finer mist like Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Moisture Mist. The KBB fragrances are nice, but I don't think I'll be repurchasing this.

Hair Update

I had braids for the past four and a half weeks. Poetic Justice style. It took me about 12 hours to do, and I loved them. They made getting ready for work less time consuming. With my 1-hour commute, I need to be up and out the door pretty quickly. They’re low maintenance and easy to style. My favorite style was probably the bun. My only issue was the cold weather and my scalp getting dry, dry, dry! Once I remove these I’m going to use some Shea Moisture African Black Soap Shampoo and do a deep treatment to thoroughly cleanse and refresh my scalp. This is the only shampoo that works for me when my scalp is being temperamental. This shampoo relieves itchiness and any flaking as well as cleansing the hair without being overly stripping.

A few months ago I posted that I’d be more consistent with the blog. Well, that didn’t happen. Life did, and I lost interest in most things and lost my passion. Nevertheless, I’m trying to return to the things I love, and continue to work on growing and just taking things one day at a time.
