Empties: Update #14 (Mini Reviews Included)
Although I haven't managed to finish any hair products lately, I am using up my skincare products. Note, from here out, "Use up the Stash" posts will be referred to as "Empties" instead.Below are mini reviews of recent empties.
Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil (Sample): Honestly...I had high hopes for this, but it didn't really wow me. I wouldn't purchase this. It's not bad, but it wasn't good enough for me to purchase the full size. I prefer mixed oils to get maximum benefit instead of applying multiple different oils.
Lush Yuzu and Coconut Shower Cream (Sample): This wasn't for me mainly because of the fragrance. In the packaging, it smells like coconut, but in the shower it smells of mandarin and chocolate, which isn't a fragrance I like. Definitely, glad I got the sample first. I won't be purchasing this.
Pixi Glow Tonic: This is one of those products with a cult following. It's highly recommended in the beauty community. You can check out more in depth reviews from Caroline Hirons. For me, it was a good toner; my only complaint is that I found myself using more of this than I would normally have to with other toners. Apart from that it's great. I have repurchased this recently and likely would again.
Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser: This is a great cleanser- thoroughly cleanses without stripping my skin. I use it with a Clarisonic or directly on my hands and it works well either way. I've also tried it as a mask and it's ok for that also. I got this while Cult Beauty had it on offer: 2 for the price of 1. I'd repurchase this eventually; it's one of my go-to products for a second cleanse after makeup.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil: As I mentioned in a previous post, Luna was one of the products I tried after a very bad reaction to foundation. I used it nightly for about 5 months (the 0.5oz size), applying 4 drops and pressing it into my skin. I do like this product and would repurchase if on sale, but I want to try similar retinol products before returning to this one.
