Hair Update

I had braids for the past four and a half weeks. Poetic Justice style. It took me about 12 hours to do, and I loved them. They made getting ready for work less time consuming. With my 1-hour commute, I need to be up and out the door pretty quickly. They’re low maintenance and easy to style. My favorite style was probably the bun. There are photos on the Kinks of Nature Instagram page

My only issue was the cold weather and my scalp getting dry, dry, dry! Once I remove these I’m going to use some Shea Moisture African Black Soap Shampoo and do a deep treatment to thoroughly cleanse and refresh my scalp. This is the only shampoo that works for me when my scalp is being temperamental. This shampoo relieves itchiness and any flaking as well as cleansing the hair without being overly stripping.

I’ll do a separate post on my braiding process and the products and hair I used.

I’m back! Thank you to all my readers who continue to visit the Kinks of Nature site and interact through different outlets. Your comments and views are always appreciated. I wish everyone the best of holidays and a happy new year.
