First Impressions: Miss Jessie's Coily Custard

Image
After finishing my coursework, I decided to treat myself to some new products. One of which, I'd been eyeing since it was released: Miss Jessie's Coily Custard. I've barely seen any reviews of this product on my hair type so I was curious. It has no mineral oil, petrolatum, or cones, and fragrance is actually at the bottom of the ingredients list. Quite a change from the typical Miss Jessie's formulation. Anyways, let's get to the first impressions.

Product Claims: COILY CUSTARD IS EXCELLENT FOR TRANSFORMING FRIZZY ‘FROS TO SOFT CURLS, FIGHTING CURL SHRINKAGE AND WASH N GO STYLING. Finally, a wash n go styler that really works for “TWAs” and kinky coily hair! Coily Custard is the very best curl styler for transforming tight frizzy ‘fros to loose moisturized curls. Coming Back to KON

I'll be done with my MSc in a few days so I'll have more time to put into developing new content for the blog. I'm thinking of doing more non-hair posts so we'll see how that goes. I've tried a few products and gotten rid of a few. Moving with excess baggage just did not make sense. Some of those had to go.
That's all for now. I think I'll post a first impressions next.

Scissor Happy ... and Forgetting That I'm Now 4-years Natural

Image
Anyone else do this? I have this habit of sitting with the shears near me. Anytime I see a split end, thin end, split strand, or knots, I start cutting! I really need to stop becuase I get so distracted just examining my ends. The worst is when I find a strand I want to cut and accidentally let it go!

As I was about to post this, I realised I missed my 4-year natural-versary. I forget it every year! Maybe I'll do a post updating the condition of my hair.
