So after 2 weeks of straightened hair, amazing pin curls, and reverting successfully, I've used most of the Agadir products. Here's a quick review of the items I've tried.
All of the Agadir products have the same fragrance. It smells like an amber fragrance to me, very nice and subtle, not overpowering in the least.
Agadir Argan Oil Daily Moisturizing Shampoo: I used this to prep my hair for straightening. It's gentle and I didn't need much product to cleanse my hair. It didn't tangle my hair either. I'll continue using it.
Agadir Argan Oil Daily Volumizing Shampoo: I used this to clarify after straightening. I had 2-weeks worth of product buildup, and this managed to clean my scalp and hair without being stripping or tangling. I like it and will continue using it.
Agadir Argan Oil Daily Volumizing Finishing Hairspray (Firm Hold): This made my pin curls last for days even when I didn't re-pin them at night. I was able to wear my hair down without the fear that it would frizz out. The only time my hair actually got frizzy was direct contact with moisture, be it sweat, steam from the shower, or the occasional rain. My only issue with this sprau was that there was some buildup; however, that's my fault because I was extremely heavy handed and used it 2-4 times a day. Nevertheless, I still prefer it to the other sprays I used previously and would consider purchasing.
Agadir Argan Oil Hair Shield 450 Plus Spray Treatment: I used this with my Sedu, and I have yet to notice any straight patches or loosened curls. Really happy with this one. Out of all of the Agadir products, this is the one I wanted to try the most, and it worked for me. I even did my hair on 400 instead of my normal 350, and still no damage. Definitely going to purchase when this one is finished.
Agadir Argan Oil Hair Treatment: I used this when I did my blow out and each night after that to add some shine and protect my hair. It really softened and smoothed my hair without weighing it down or being greasy. I do prefer it to the other serums I've used recently. I'm going to continue using this and will likely purchase it when I run out.
Agadir Argan Oil Spray Treatment: The oil treatment I reserved for nighttime-use because it's heavier, and the spray treatment, I used in the mornings. It adds shine, is light, and also works as a heat protectant. I appreciate the convenience of the spray and actually like it, but I'm not sure it's a necessity if I have the oil treatment.
Overall, I really enjoyed the products. They protected my hair from damage and ensured that my style lasted. I don't think I've been able to wear my hair straight and in a loose style for 2 weeks since being natural. This was definitely a first for me.
I'm very happy with my results. It's so hard for me to straighten and get lasting results without getting heat damage in the process. Using the Agadir products, I didn't have any issues.
Agadir products can be purchased online or at local retailers. To find a local vendor, visit the Agadir site. From what I've seen online, prices for these products will vary by vendor so look around for the best deal, but make sure you're buying authentic products.
