Update

Thoughts on CG Method: I liked my results. I did notice less frizz, but I think that's a result of using no tools and consistently doing wash & go's.

Currently my hair is straightened. I prepped my hair by doing a wash & go cow-washing with AIAN Coconut Co-Wash and then moisturized with Darcy's Botanicals Curl Styling Cream and finished with Darcy's Botacnicals Curling Cream Gel (love this combo!). The same night when my hair was partially dry I did a curl former set using LottaBody Carrot & Keratin Setting Lotion and Ouidad Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel. The next night I used Crisco to flat iron. My hair started reverting instantly so I wrapped it and wore a bun the next day. The dew points are extremely high here so I expected the reversion. It's not too bad, the crown is frizzy, but that's about it. The partial reversion makes my hair look full and thick so I don't mind.

Today, I'm wearing a bantu-knot out, which I styled using BASK Palm Tapioca Deluxe Hair Cream and Creme of Nature Argan Oil Gloss & Shine Polisher. I'm using a silicone-based product to prevent further reversion.

I think I'll use the curl formers more frequently because it helps with stretching my hair without heat. I don't know when I'll straighten my hair again. I'll have to see the condition of my hair after I wash out. Hoping for no damage; I refuse to do another major cut.
